ABOUT THE PRODUCER:
Amata means “beloved” in Italian and reflects the passion that goes into the creation of this elegant Prosecco. Exuding the Italian flair for style, with its sophisticated presentation, this wine is a true expression of its origins and the vibrant land from which it has been lovingly crafted. Set to make an indelible impression on the hearts of wine lovers, this is the perfect party fizz.
ABOUT THE VINEYARD:
The Glera grapes are grown in the Province of Treviso in the Veneto region. This distinctive territory, with its high hills and steep slopes, is so special that it has recently been nominated to be included on the World Heritage List. The bond between this territory and product is strong; the winegrowers of this DOC area are the soul of Prosecco and an integral part of the wine’s identity.
THE WINEMAKING PROCESS:
The grapes were destemmed and then gently pressed. The must was fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of no more than 18 to 20°C to preserve the aromatics. Fermentation was interrupted when the residual sugar reached between 2 to 3 grams per litre and was left to rest at chilled temperatures. It was then refermented in pressurised tanks at a maximum pressure of 2.4 atmospheres to obtain the characteristically gentle bubbles.
