INTRODUCTION
These terms and conditions apply to the use of this Website, and by accessing this Website and/or placing an order, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set out below. These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

You are allowed access to this Website in accordance with these Conditions and any orders you place must adhere to these Conditions.

Registration
You warrant that the personal information which you are required to provide when you register as a customer is true, accurate, current, and complete in all respects; and you will notify us immediately of any changes. You agree not to use a false name or impersonate any other person or entity.
Our rights
We reserve the right to change these Terms and Conditions from time to time, and your continued use of this website following such change shall be deemed to be your acceptance thereof; and/or modify or withdraw this website with or without notice.
Indemnity
You agree fully to indemnify, defend, and hold us harmless immediately on demand, from and against all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of any breach of these Conditions by you.
PURCHASING PRODUCTS
Orders
We take all reasonable care to keep order and payment details secure, but in the absence of negligence on our part, we cannot be held liable for any loss you may suffer if a third party procures unauthorised access to any data you provide.
Contract creation online
When you place an order by pressing the confirm order button, we will send an acknowledgement email detailing your order. Order acceptance and completion of the contract between you and us takes place upon dispatch of the products ordered. Non-acceptance may occur if there is a pricing or description error, if delivery is outside our delivery zone (England & Wales only), you are not eligible to order, product is out of stock, or we cannot obtain payment authorisation.
Cancellation and returns
You may cancel your order for any reason up to and including 7 days from the date of delivery, provided all bottles are unopened and intact. If the order has already been dispatched, you are responsible for the cost of returning the goods. Cancellations must be made in writing (letter or email). We will replace or refund faulty wines after verification. Returns must be in original, undamaged packaging. Claims for damage or shortage must be made within 2 days of receipt. Claims for non-delivery must be made within one month of your order date.
Delivery
Delivery is normally within 2–3 working days (maximum 10 working days). Deliveries are made during business hours and must be accepted at the point of delivery. All WineSaver members qualify for free UK delivery (excluding remote or international addresses).
Product descriptions
We take care to ensure product information, descriptions, and prices are correct at the time of upload. However, vintages, labels, alcohol levels, and closures may vary. Prices cannot be confirmed until order acceptance.
Alcoholic merchandise
Ratcliffe & Co Wines Ltd sell products containing intoxicating liquor (drinks containing more than 0.5% ABV). It is an offence under the Licensing Act 2003 to purchase or attempt to purchase alcohol if you are under 18. We reserve the right to verify age and identity. Payment
We accept payment by Stripe, Klarna, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Android Pay. We do not accept PayPal. All cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by their card issuer. If payment is not authorised, we will not be liable for delay or non-delivery.
VAT
Our VAT registration number is GB 390 1666 90. All prices are inclusive of UK VAT at the prevailing rate.
Transaction decline or refusal
We may refuse to process or cancel a transaction for any reason at our discretion. We reserve the right to withdraw products, modify content, or suspend transactions as needed. Purchasers must be over 18 years of age and provide a valid delivery address in England or Wales.
WINESAVER MEMBERSHIP TERMS
Definitions
WineSaver refers to the membership and savings programme operated by Ratcliffe & Co Wines Ltd. Member means a customer enrolled in WineSaver. Balance means funds held in a Member’s WineSaver account (including Bonus Credit). Bonus Credit refers to the £5 added by Ratcliffe & Co Wines Ltd for each £25 monthly payment. Taster Case means the introductory mixed, red, or white case offered at £75 (usual value £150).
Joining WineSaver
Customers may join WineSaver by purchasing a Taster Case or directly subscribing to the £25 monthly membership. Payments are collected automatically via Stripe each month. Each successful payment adds £25 to the Member’s Balance and a £5 Bonus Credit.
Balance & bonus credit
Bonus Credit is applied once monthly payments are successfully processed. Balances can be used at any time to purchase wines or other eligible products. WineSaver orders enjoy free UK delivery. Manual top-ups are not currently available.
Flexibility and control
Members may cancel at any time, without penalty. Balances remain available for future use. Members may withdraw or refund their funds (less any Bonus Credit applied). No automatic wine deliveries are made.
Cancellation, refunds & withdrawals
Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5–10 working days. Bonus Credit is not refundable in cash. Ratcliffe & Co Wines Ltd reserves the right to deduct any Bonus Credit from refunded balances.
Fund protection
All balances are securely recorded and protected by Ratcliffe & Co Wines Ltd. Funds are held in a segregated account and will never be used for operational purposes.
Changes to WineSaver
We may change WineSaver terms with 30 days’ notice via email or website update. Continued use after this notice constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Termination by Ratcliffe & Co Wines Ltd
We may terminate membership for misuse, fraud, or breach of terms. Any remaining Balance (excluding Bonus Credit) will be refunded. In the event of programme closure, all valid balances will be refunded in full.
