ABOUT THE PRODUCER:
Gently sparkling Prosecco is becoming increasingly sophisticated, with its fruity style, softness and accessibility, it lends itself to both formal and casual occasions. Favola, which means fairytale in Italian, is an enchanting wine, with its stunning presentation, tremendous quality of fruit and competitive price, this stylish wine is set to make an indelible impression on the hearts of wine lovers.
ABOUT THE VINEYARD:
The Glera grapes are grown in the Province of Treviso in the Veneto region. This distinctive territory, with its high hills and steep slopes, is so special that it has recently been nominated to be included on the World Heritage List. The bond between this territory and product is strong; the winegrowers of this DOC area are the soul of Prosecco and an integral part of the wine’s identity.
THE WINEMAKING PROCESS:
The grapes were destemmed and then gently pressed. The must was fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of no more than 18 to 20°C to preserve the aromatics. Fermentation was interrupted when the residual sugar reached between two to three grams per litre and was left to rest at chilled temperatures. It was then refermented in pressurised tanks at a maximum pressure of 2.4 atmospheres to obtain the characteristically gentle bubbles.
OUR TASTING NOTES:
A fresh, fragrant and fruit Prosecco with aromas of pear and apple. On the palate it is off-dry and lively with an attractively crisp finish.
GRAPE VARIETY:
Glera 100%.
